Pricing
Website Development Cost in Saudi Arabia
Most agencies answer this question with a range so wide it tells you nothing — SAR 3,000 to SAR 250,000. Below are my actual starting prices, what each one includes, what it deliberately does not, and the handful of things that genuinely move the number.
I am an independent web developer based in Riyadh. I build websites and web applications for businesses across Saudi Arabia — WordPress sites your team can edit, WooCommerce stores, and custom React work when a project is really an application. Because I work directly with clients rather than through an agency layer, the price you see is the price of the work.
Website prices at a glance
Four defined scopes, in ascending order. The step between them is what the site has to do — not how many pages it has. Fifty pages built from four templates is a smaller project than ten pages that are each bespoke.
What each package costs and includes
These are starting prices for defined scopes, not estimates. If your project fits one of them, that is what it costs. If it does not, the consultation exists to establish what it actually needs before anyone quotes a number.

Website pricing comparison
The same figures side by side. Complex requirements — online stores, integrations, bilingual content, custom functionality — need a custom quotation rather than a package.
| Website type | Starting price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Landing Page | SAR 1,200 | Campaigns, single products, professionals and personal brands |
| Starter Website | SAR 2,250 | Individuals and small businesses |
| Business Website | SAR 4,750 | Established businesses and service companies |
| Custom / Premium Website | from SAR 10,900 | Advanced, custom or application-style requirements |
| Maintenance & Support | SAR 500/month | Existing websites that need to stay current |
| WooCommerce store | Quoted per project | Businesses selling online — see the section below |
| Bilingual Arabic / English | Quoted per project | Brands serving both language audiences properly |
Prices are in Saudi riyals and exclude VAT where it applies. They cover the development work only — domain, hosting and any third-party subscriptions are separate and are set out further down this page.
What actually changes the price
If two quotes for “a website” differ by a factor of five, it is almost always one of these — not the developer’s margin.
Number of unique templates, not number of pages
The most commonly misunderstood variable. When you brief a project, count distinct layouts rather than pages. That is the number that predicts effort.
Custom functionality
The largest single swing factor. Booking systems, calculators, member areas, dashboards and approval workflows are each a feature to specify, build, test and maintain. A brochure site with a contact form and a brochure site with a booking engine are not comparable projects.
Selling online
Commerce adds catalogue structure, product templates, cart and checkout, payment and shipping configuration, tax handling and order management. This is why stores are quoted rather than packaged.
Arabic as well as English
For businesses in Saudi Arabia this is the most consistently underestimated cost. A bilingual site is meaningfully more than double a single-language site in content terms, and adds right-to-left layout, Arabic typography, translated metadata and hreflang. Doing bilingual properly explains what is involved. Budget for it deliberately — retrofitting it later costs considerably more.
Who writes the content
The most common cause of a stalled project. Someone has to write the copy and supply the photography. If that is you, the build costs less and takes longer than you expect.
Integrations
Every external system the site talks to — CRM, payment gateway, ERP, booking platform — is integration work whose cost depends on how well documented that system is. A modern API is straightforward. An undocumented internal system is not, and it is worth flagging early.
For a deeper, platform-neutral treatment of the same subject with no packages attached, read what actually drives the cost of a website.
Why my prices can be lower than an agency’s
Two straightforward reasons, and neither of them is cutting corners on the build.
There is no agency layer. You are paying for development, not for an account manager, a project coordinator, an office in a tower on King Fahd Road and the margin that carries all three. You brief me and I build it.
I already have the professional toolkit. I work with licensed professional tools, themes, hosting options and development resources as part of my own practice, which means a project does not have to start by buying everything from scratch. Premium tools and licensed resources may be included as part of selected client projects or service arrangements.
Whether that applies to your project depends on:
- The type of project and what it genuinely requires
- The licence terms of the specific tool in question
- Which features your site actually needs
- Your own requirements and preferences
- Whether you want independent ownership of the subscriptions your site depends on — which is often the right call for a business, and which I will say so
To be explicit about what I am not claiming: I do not offer lifetime licences to third-party software, unlimited premium plugins or unlimited premium themes. Those claims get made in this market and they do not survive contact with the actual licence terms. Where your site depends on a paid third-party subscription, I will tell you before we start, tell you what it costs, and tell you whose name it should be in.
Hosting: a separate cost, paid directly by you
Hosting is not included in my development prices, and I would be wary of anyone who bundles it invisibly. You should own the hosting account for the site your business depends on.
I use Hostinger where it suits the client’s requirements. Clients can use my Hostinger referral link to receive the available discount when purchasing eligible Hostinger services. Offers change, so click through to check the current one rather than taking a figure from this page.
I will recommend a plan based on what the site actually needs:
- Expected traffic, and how quickly you expect it to grow
- Number of products, if you are running a store
- WooCommerce requirements specifically — stores are heavier than brochure sites
- Storage and performance requirements
- Professional email requirements
- How many websites you need to host
What I will not do is recommend the largest plan available. Most small business sites do not need it, and paying for headroom you never use is not a performance strategy — server response time matters, but so does spending the budget where it changes the outcome. Core Web Vitals explained covers what is genuinely being optimised toward.
Check Hostinger Offer (opens hostinger.com in a new tab — referral link)
That is a referral link: if you buy through it, Hostinger may pay me a commission at no additional cost to you. It does not change what I recommend, and you are free to host anywhere you like — I will configure the site on whichever host you choose.
Domains
You can register your domain through Hostinger or any other suitable registrar — it makes no difference to me, and the important thing is that the domain is registered in your own name or your company’s name. You should own it outright, not hold it at your developer’s discretion.
Selected packages or promotions may include a free domain for the first year. This is not a standing offer on every project, so ask about it rather than assume it. Domain renewal fees normally apply after the initial registration period, and the renewal price is frequently higher than the first-year promotional price — worth checking before you commit to a registrar.
A .sa domain carries more local credibility and has its own registration requirements and higher cost; a .com is cheaper and universally understood. Plenty of Saudi businesses register both and point one at the other. I will handle the DNS, the SSL certificate and the email configuration either way.
How much does a WooCommerce website cost in Saudi Arabia?
I do not publish a WooCommerce package price, and I would treat any fixed store price with suspicion. Two stores that both “sell products online” can differ in effort by an order of magnitude, and quoting a number before understanding the catalogue is how projects end up renegotiated halfway through.
What actually determines a WooCommerce quote:
- Catalogue size and shape — number of products, how many variations each carries, and how categories nest. This is real design work: it shapes URLs, filtering and the daily admin experience.
- Payment gateways — which methods your customers expect to see, and what integrating them involves.
- Shipping integrations — rate calculation, courier integration, and how fulfilment actually runs.
- Arabic and English support — a bilingual storefront doubles the product content and adds right-to-left layout throughout.
- Design complexity — a customised theme versus a store designed around your brand.
- Customer accounts — registration, order history, saved addresses, wishlists.
- Inventory requirements — stock across variations, low-stock handling, multi-location stock.
- API and ERP / POS integrations — the single biggest cost driver on larger stores, and the one most often discovered late.
- Custom functionality — anything your store does that a generic shop does not.
- SEO and performance — commerce pages are image-heavy and query-heavy, so this matters more than on a brochure site.
- Maintenance — a store is a running system, not a finished artefact.
An honest test before you commit: write down the five things your store must do that a generic shop does not. If all five are ordinary, a hosted platform may serve you better. WooCommerce versus hosted platforms for Saudi businesses works through that decision, and how I build WooCommerce stores covers the build itself in detail.
Which technology your budget should go into
Platform choice matters less to the price than most people expect, and more to what happens after launch than anyone tells you.
- WordPress — the right answer when content changes often and the people changing it are not developers. Most business sites in the SAR 2,250 to SAR 4,750 range land here.
- WordPress with Elementor — adds configuration work up front and buys editorial independence afterwards. It usually pays for itself the first time you need a landing page in a hurry.
- Next.js and React — for projects that are really applications: dashboards, authenticated areas, complex logic, strict performance budgets. This is the custom tier.
- Technical SEO and performance — built in during the project costs very little, because the structure is being decided anyway. Retrofitted afterwards, it means unpicking decisions.
Still weighing it up? Next.js versus WordPress for a business is the long-form version of this decision.
What the work actually looks like

There is more in the full project portfolio, including SBH Optical’s WooCommerce store and ARMAL Group’s corporate site. If something there is close to what you have in mind, mention it — it is the fastest way to a useful quote.
What is included, and what is not
The distinction that quotes usually blur. Everything in the right-hand column is a cost you pay to someone else, or a decision that is genuinely yours.

How a project runs
- Free pricingConsultation. Goals, pages, features, timeline, technology, budget. No cost and no commitment.
- Scope and quote. Either it fits a package, or you get a written quote against defined requirements.
- Structure first. Page structure, URL structure and content model are decided before design. Retrofitting a content model onto a finished design means rebuilding templates, and it is the single most common source of avoidable cost.
- Design and build. SEO structure and performance handled during the work rather than bolted on at the end.
- Testing and launch. Real devices and browsers, then deployment with domain, SSL and analytics configured.
- Handover. A walkthrough so your team can use what they have been given — followed by maintenance if you want it, or independence if you do not.
Website cost in Saudi Arabia — frequently asked questions
How much does a website cost in Saudi Arabia?
It depends on what the site has to do, which is why my published starting prices are tied to defined scopes rather than to a page count. A single landing page starts at SAR 1,200, a small starter website at SAR 2,250, a multi-section business website at SAR 4,750, and a custom React or Next.js build from SAR 10,900. Anything with unusual functionality, integrations or a large bilingual content set is quoted individually after we have talked through the requirements.
How much does a business website cost in Saudi Arabia?
My Business Website package starts at SAR 4,750. That covers custom design and development, multiple pages and business sections, a mobile-first responsive build, contact and WhatsApp integration, a technical SEO foundation, performance work, analytics setup and a content management system you can edit yourself. If your business needs booking, member areas, a store or a second language, that moves the project into a custom quote.
How much does a WordPress website cost in Saudi Arabia?
A WordPress build sits inside the same packages rather than costing extra as a platform. Most WordPress business sites I build land in the Starter Website tier at SAR 2,250 or the Business Website tier at SAR 4,750, depending on how many sections you need and how much of the content you want to be able to edit yourself. WordPress itself is free; what you pay for is the design, the build, the structure and the setup.
How much does a WooCommerce website cost in Saudi Arabia?
I do not publish a fixed WooCommerce price, because store cost is driven by things a package cannot predict: how many products and variations you carry, which payment gateways and shipping companies you need connected, whether you need Arabic as well as English, and whether the store has to talk to an ERP or POS system. A store with thirty simple products and one payment gateway is a very different project from one with two thousand variable products and inventory syncing. Send me your requirements and you will get a real quote rather than a range.
How much does an online store cost in Saudi Arabia?
Online stores are quoted per project. The variables that move the number most are catalogue size and complexity, payment and shipping integrations, whether you need bilingual Arabic and English storefronts, customer accounts, and any connection to existing inventory or accounting systems. The build itself is only part of it — a store also carries ongoing costs for hosting suited to commerce traffic and for any licensed extensions it depends on.
Is WordPress cheaper than custom website development?
For a first version, usually yes, because you assemble more and write less. A WordPress site typically reaches launch faster and at a lower initial cost than an equivalent custom React or Next.js build. Over three years the gap narrows in both directions: WordPress accrues ongoing maintenance and update work, while a custom build accrues developer dependency every time content needs to change. Which is genuinely cheaper depends on how often your content changes and how unusual your functionality is.
What is the difference between a WordPress website and a custom Next.js website?
WordPress gives you a content management system out of the box, so non-technical staff can publish and edit without a developer. That is its real value. A custom Next.js build gives you complete control over the interface, the performance profile and the application logic, which matters when the project is really an application — dashboards, authenticated areas, complex business rules or tight performance budgets. Plenty of businesses end up running both: WordPress for marketing content, Next.js for the product.
What is the cheapest way to build a professional website?
The cheapest genuinely professional route is to narrow the scope rather than to cut the quality. Start with one well-built page or a small site that does one job properly, have your content written and your photography ready before development starts, and add sections as the business needs them. Most avoidable cost on a website project comes from unclear requirements and from waiting on content, not from the development itself. Retrofitting bilingual support or e-commerce later costs considerably more than including it from the start, so those two are worth deciding up front even if you build them later.
What is included in website development?
In my packages: the design, the build, responsive implementation across devices, a technical SEO foundation, performance optimisation, contact and WhatsApp integration, and — from the Business Website tier upward — a content management system, analytics setup and client-editable content. Not included as part of the development fee: domain registration, hosting, any third-party subscriptions your site depends on, content writing, photography, and ongoing maintenance. Those are listed separately on this page so there is no ambiguity about what you are buying.
How much does website hosting cost in Saudi Arabia?
Hosting is a third-party cost you pay directly to the provider, not something bundled into my development fee. Shared hosting adequate for a small business website is generally an annual cost in the low hundreds of riyals, while a busy WooCommerce store or a high-traffic site needs a stronger plan and costs more. Prices and promotions change often, so the sensible approach is to check current pricing at the point of purchase rather than budget from a figure someone published last year. I will recommend a plan that matches your actual traffic, storage and email requirements instead of the largest one available.
How much does a website domain cost?
A .com domain is typically a modest annual fee, usually in the region of SAR 40 to SAR 80 depending on the registrar and any first-year promotion. A .sa domain costs more and has its own registration requirements. Two things worth knowing: renewal pricing is often higher than the first-year promotional price, and the domain should be registered in your own name or your company name so you own it outright.
Does a package include a free domain?
Sometimes, but not always, so it is never promised as standard. Selected packages or promotions may include a free domain for the first year. Whether that applies to your project depends on the package, the current promotion and where the domain is registered. Renewal fees normally apply after the first registration period regardless.
How long does it take to build a website?
A landing page is usually a matter of days once the content is ready. A starter website typically takes one to two weeks, and a business website two to four weeks depending on how many sections there are and how quickly content and feedback come back. Custom builds and online stores are scheduled per project. The single most common cause of a late website is waiting for copy and photography, so having those ready is the fastest thing you can do to shorten the timeline.
Do you provide Arabic and English websites?
Yes. Bilingual Arabic and English sites are part of the custom tier rather than the standard packages, because doing them properly is real additional work: right-to-left layout, Arabic typography, translated metadata, hreflang and a language switcher that behaves correctly. It also doubles the ongoing content burden, since every page exists twice and both versions have to stay current. It is worth budgeting for deliberately — adding it after launch costs considerably more than building it in.
Do you provide website maintenance?
Yes, at SAR 500 per month, and it is optional rather than bundled into any build price. It can cover content updates, minor changes, bug fixes, technical assistance, general maintenance and periodic performance and functionality checks. If you would rather maintain the site yourself, that is a legitimate choice and the handover is designed to make it possible.
Can I manage my own website after development?
Yes, and from the Business Website tier upward that is an explicit part of what you are paying for: a content management system with the content you will actually want to change exposed as editable fields rather than hard-coded into templates. You get a handover walkthrough so your team knows how to use what they have been given. Landing pages and starter sites can also be made editable — mention it at the consultation so the build is structured for it from the beginning.
What happens in the free consultation?
We talk through your business goals, which pages you actually need, what features are genuinely required, your timeline, the technology options and your budget. The purpose is to work out the most appropriate solution, which sometimes means recommending a smaller package than you came in expecting. It costs nothing and does not commit you to anything.
Get a price for your project
If your project fits one of the packages above, you already know the price. If it does not — a store, a bilingual site, something with real functionality behind it — tell me what it needs to do and you will get a straight answer, including if the answer is that you need less than you thought.
