About Hamid Hussain

I am a web developer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I build business websites, online stores and web applications — mostly with WordPress and Elementor Pro where clients need to manage their own content, and with React and Next.js where a project is really an application rather than a set of pages.

Most of my work is for companies that already have a website and have run into the limits of it: it is slow, nobody internally can update it, or it does not show up in search. That tends to make the job as much about structure and maintainability as about design.

How I work

Three things shape how I approach a build, and they are the reason the sites I hand over tend to stay workable.

  • Structure before styling. Deciding pages, URLs and the content model first is what keeps everything after it cheap. Retrofitting a content model onto a finished design means rebuilding templates.
  • Build it to be handed over. A project is not finished when it looks right, it is finished when someone else can run it without me.
  • Pick the platform for the project. WordPress is not the answer to everything and neither is a custom build. I would rather say so before quoting than deliver the wrong thing well.

Technologies I work with

The stack I use day to day, and the technologies recorded against the projects in my portfolio.

  • HTML5 & CSS3
  • JavaScript & TypeScript
  • React & Next.js
  • Node.js & Express
  • Tailwind CSS
  • WordPress & PHP
  • MySQL & MongoDB
  • SEO & Analytics
  • Git & Version Control

Across the projects in the portfolio that has meant WordPress, WooCommerce, React, front-end development, SEO, Performance Optimization — corporate sites, e-commerce stores, real estate platforms, an internal staff portal, and bilingual Arabic and English builds.

Working in Riyadh and the Gulf

Being based in Riyadh matters most for the projects that need Arabic and English side by side. Arabic is not a translation layer applied to an English design — it changes reading direction, layout mirroring, typography and often the visual rhythm of a page. Planning that during design rather than after it is the difference between a bilingual site that works and one that half-works.

I also work with clients outside the region; several projects in the portfolio were built for businesses in Australia.

What I can help with

  • WordPress Development Custom WordPress websites built to be fast, secure and genuinely editable by the people who run the business.
  • Elementor Pro Development WordPress sites built with Elementor Pro so your team can edit pages, text and images without calling a developer.
  • Next.js & React Development React and Next.js builds for projects that need real application logic, custom interfaces or tight performance budgets.
  • WooCommerce Development Online stores built on WooCommerce, from catalogue and checkout through to the operational side of running them.
  • SEO & Website Performance Technical SEO and Core Web Vitals work — the structural side of getting found, done during the build rather than bolted on.

Get in touch

The most useful first conversation is usually about what the site needs to do, not what it should be built with. You can reach me at hamidhussain740@gmail.com or through the contact form.
